The Responsible Clean Air Coalition (RCAC) is a group of business owners, civic groups and like-minded people who believe we can continue to move California forward and reduce our greenhouse gas emissions, keeping our air clean while doing so in an economically friendly way.
Currently, our top priority is petitioning the California Air Resources Board (CA-ARB) for a one-year extension to the Enhanced Vapor Recovery Phase II regulation that currently is set for enforcement on April 1, 2009.
This short delay to April 1, 2010 allows for more affordable equipment to become available on the market, additional financing opportunities for small business owners and additional time for local county permitting. This reasonable extension would cost the state no money, protect jobs and balance environmental needs with current economic realities
If the CA-ARB fails to grant this extension, it will threaten thousands of California small businesses and their surrounding communities.
